SHORTCUTS DON'T SCALE. STRATEGY DOES.
Everyone wants a technical fix. The real gap is still the fundamentals.
Hey there!
There is a new shortcut making the rounds.
It is called llms.txt, and the pitch is simple: add a file, show up in AI answers, win. Marketers are rushing to implement it before they have even asked whether their brand is clear enough to deserve the visibility they are chasing.
That is the pattern this issue is really about. When new tactics emerge, teams reach for the technical fix first and skip the foundational work entirely. The result is a lot of checkbox optimization on top of positioning that was never sharp to begin with.
This issue pushes back on that reflex.
We start with LLMs.txt itself: what it actually does, why it is not a ranking factor, and why Google still treats generative AI optimization as an extension of SEO, not a replacement for it. The takeaway is not that the tool is useless. It is that implementation is not a strategy.
From there, we zoom out to New York, where Myosin is hosting a happy hour during Tech Week for the operators, founders, and builders who are actually shipping, not just optimizing. HiveMind will be in the room. So will the conversations worth having.
And finally, we go back to foundations. The brand strategy playbook this week covers everything a crypto project needs to get clear before any tactic makes sense: problem statement, USP, vision, mission, and the connective tissue between them.
Fix the foundation first. Then optimize.

The AI Search Shortcut That Isn’t

Everyone wants a shortcut to AI visibility. This week, that shortcut was llms.txt: a simple file marketers are being told can help brands show up in AI answers. But the real story is not the file. It is the growing panic around AEO/GEO and the rise of checkbox optimization: adding technical fixes before solving the deeper problem of whether your brand is clear, credible, and easy for AI systems to understand.
In this week’s article, we unpack what llms.txt actually does, why it is not a magic ranking factor, and why Google still frames generative AI optimization as part of SEO. The takeaway: add llms.txt if it helps you organize your content, but do not confuse implementation with strategy. 📖
NY Tech Week x Myosin Happy Hour
We’re heading to New York for Tech Week.
On Tuesday, June 2, Myosin is hosting a happy hour for the people building the future of AI, fintech, and AI-native growth. No panels. No keynotes. Just operators, founders, builders, and creatives in one room, talking about what they’re actually shipping.
We’ll be pulling back the curtain on HiveMind, Myosin’s AI marketing intelligence layer, and the forward-deployed tools we’re using to help teams run sharper, faster, more adaptive growth systems. We’ll also feature a handful of builders giving 60-second lightning pitches on what they’re working on.
Open bar. Good people. Better conversations.

Brand Strategy That Actually Holds Up
Most crypto projects skip brand strategy entirely. They launch with a tagline, a deck, and a vibe, then wonder why nothing sticks.
This playbook fixes that.
Positioning and Brand Strategy walks through every foundational element your project needs to build from: problem statement, USP, vision, mission, values, elevator pitch, timing case, and product-market fit. Not as abstract exercises, but as working tools with templates, examples, and worksheets you can apply directly to your project.
The real value isn't any single section. It's how they connect. When your problem statement, USP, and mission are all pulling in the same direction, your messaging stops feeling scattered and starts feeling inevitable.
If you are building something serious, this is where the foundation gets laid.
